The full moon in Pisces corresponds with the Major Arcana card The Moon. Pisces is ruled by the planet Neptune which is linked to The Hanged Man.
The Moon (Pisces) rules the night and represents uncertainty and confusion. It is easier to lose your way at night than in the bright light of day. In the soft light of the moon, things are not so clear, or perhaps not what they seem. Just as the Moon is actually reflecting the light of the sun, so too The Moon card is all about illusion. And so too Neptune (The Hanged Man), is the planet of illusion and of mystery, dreams, spirituality and the subconscious world.
The Hanged Man can represent an acceptance of the unknown and to put our trust in the unseen. The Hanged Man reflects the story of Odin who offered himself as a sacrifice in order to gain greater knowledge. He hung for nine days, pierced by his own spear, on the world tree. His ordeal was accomplished when magic runes appeared on rocks beneath him. With The Hanged Man there is a suspension, a letting go, in order to allow answers to come. This illumination also may be made possible by being able to see things differently, from another point of view.
With The Moon alongside The Hanged Man, the Tarot may be telling us that in times of uncertainty and confusion we need to wait, to let go, and allow the answers to come; to listen to our dreams and our inner light, our intuition. Alternatively, finding the answers by looking at things from a different standpoint.
